To reduce anthropogenic GHG emissions to contribute to the global efforts to mitigate climate change in line with the scientific evidence. more inparticular, this project aims to increase national and local capacity to prepare for medium and long term climate actions towards climate resilient low-carbon development, which will gradually align with the EU climate policy
and legislation by supporting Turkey to improve the knowledge and capacity to estimate carbon stocks and report greenhouse gas emissions and removals from the LULUCF sector in accordance with decisions
taken under the UNFCCC as well as EU decisions regarding LULUCF.
