Background & Objectives
- The Justice Reform Support Program (PARJ) is part of Mauritania’s 11th European Development Fund (EDF) National Indicative Program, focusing on the “Rule of Law” sector. It aims to enhance governance and human rights by reforming Mauritania’s judicial and penitentiary systems for efficiency and compliance. PARJ includes activities to strengthen leadership at the Ministry of Justice, improve the criminal justice and penitentiary processes, enhance access to justice, and upgrade infrastructures.
