On 15 October 2025, AESA and the Animal Reproduction Research Institute (ARRI) signed a collaboration agreement within the framework of the EU-ZIRA3A Project“Capacity building services for the improvement of extension services: Training, field demonstration” – implemented by AESA in partnership with CIHEAM Bari under Lot 1 of the programme.

Through this collaboration, ARRI will conduct specialized training programmes on:

  • Reproductive ultrasound and artificial insemination in cows and buffaloes;
  • Rapid and early diagnosis of diseases;
  • Veterinary treatment and vaccination.

In addition, ARRI will implement 120 veterinary therapeutic convoys to support small-scale farmers across the three targeted governorates, ensuring improved livestock health and productivity.

This partnership marks an important step in strengthening veterinary extension services and enhancing animal health and production systems in Egypt.
