AESA, with the support of Agriconsulting Maroc SA, has assisted the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Fès-Meknès under the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, on Monday, December 11, 2023, in Meknes, in organising an official launch workshop for the IHYAE project “Revitalisation of Rural Territories through Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Agricultural and Para-Agricultural Sector” in the Fès-Meknès region of Morocco.

The seminar was attended by Mr. Kamal Hidane, Regional Director of Agriculture for the Fes-Meknes region, Mr. Reda Ayouch, Director of Strategy and Statistics at the Ministry of Agriculture, and several representatives from various ministerial departments of the Fès-Meknès region in Morocco.

The CID-AESA-VALYANS consortium, with the support of Agriconsulting Maroc SA, has been supporting the DSS since July 2023, aiming to execute project contract Market No. 01/2023/DSS related to the Recruitment of Technical Assistance within the framework of the Revitalisation of Rural Territories through Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Agricultural and Para-agricultural Sector. The programme aims to develop support ecosystems for entrepreneurs and producer organisations in territories, provide modern marketing infrastructures and para-agricultural activity zones, and strengthen the institutional environment in these areas. The project is managed centrally by the Directorate of Strategies and Statistics and regionally by the Directorate of Agriculture in Oriental, Fes-Meknès, and Souss Massa, as well as at the provincial level involving 19 Provincial Directorates across the three mentioned regions.
