The NationalStrategy for Agricultural and Rural Development2023-2030 aims to enhance the agri-food sector’scompetitiveness and resilience to climate change,ensuring food security and improving rural livingconditions.TheMinistry of Agriculture and FoodIndustry of Moldova seeks to modernize with digitaltechnologies, including the implementation of adigital National Farmers’ Registry to align with EUstandards and enhance sector efficiency andresilience.
Activities
- Component 1: Develop legal and regulatory frameworks for IACS and a digital National Farmers Registry aligned with new subsidy regulations. Strengthen legal capacities and institutional coordination at the Ministry.
- Component 2: Conduct an information campaign, develop data collection tools, select project areas, validate field data, train local staff, and support data processing.
- Component 3: Design functional specifications, develop software for the National Farmers Registry, provide training, stabilize the system, and manage the warranty period.
Results
- Conducted legal and operational framework analysis for IACS and dNFR.
- Developed and tested digital National Farmers Registry (dNFR) for data accuracy.
- Implemented integrated IACS platform with enhanced data management and traceability for Moldova’s agricultural sector.
