Activities
- Support and Coordination: Strengthen and guide PMU, PPIUs, and contractors in designing and operating infrastructure for water management, irrigation, cooperative stores, agriculture centers, and mechanization workshops.
- Implementation and Supervision: Plan yearly activities, review feasibility studies and designs, supervise construction, provide training, assist with procurement, and establish maintenance systems.
- Compliance and Reporting: Conduct environmental and social due diligence, prepare safeguard documents, develop monitoring systems, and ensure thorough reporting.
Results
- Output 1: Climate-Resilient Agribusiness Infrastructure: Improve infrastructure for rice, maize, cassava, and mango value chains through irrigation upgrades, modernized storage, and renewable energy, enhancing production efficiency and climate resilience.
- Output 2: Promotion of Climate-Smart Agriculture: Deploy climate-resilient crop varieties, enhance climate-friendly farming practices and technologies, support farm mechanization, and train 40,000 farmers in climate-smart agriculture.
- Output 3: Enabling Environment for Climate-Friendly Agribusiness: Support policy development for agribusiness, promote green finance, manage climate risks via ICT, and assist cooperatives in partnering with the private sector and achieving sustainability.
