Work in progress in Avenue de Tervueren, the headquarter of a new PMU (Project Management Unit) provided by AESA.
The subje
ct of the contract, is the “Provision of a Project Management Unit for the implementation of a programme in the field of Technical Barriers to Trade”, resulting from the signature of a financing agreement between the European Commission and the ACP Secretariat under the financial regulation of the 10th EDF. The Programme aims at strengthening the capacity of ACP countries and regions to influence and comply with TBT on the external markets, as well as to define and enforce legitimate adequately harmonised TBT on the internal markets while drawing maximum advantage of the existing WTO TBT agreement.
The contract has a duration of 48 months and a budget of 2,748.640 € and it’s financed under the 10th EDF. The client is the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States.
AESA is responsible for the PMU implementation and has recruited 3 long term experts and 2 medium-term experts.
