After only a few weeks from the acquisition of two contracts in Burundi and Ghana, Gianluca VEDOVA, Managing Director of AESA, signed a new contract for the project "Ethiopia Warehouse Receipt Financing: Third Party Warehouse Operation- Policy Review, Gap Analysis and International Best Practice Comparison".
Objective of this assignment is to implement a Warehouse Receipts Financing (WHR-F) mechanism in Ethiopia.
AESA would be required to: 1) Conduct an internal and external assessment which takes into account existing internal resources; recommendations are to be the result of an in depth examination of ECX functions linked to the Operations Division; 2) Examine any existing external warehousing resources – including Ethiopian national warehousing sector players (EGTE et al) together with interested potential international partners of repute; 3) Consider and advise upon procedures concerning inviting expressions of interest from suitable potential national and international warehouse operators for the licensed operation of stipulated parts of the ECX Warehouse Operations Division.
