AESA has been awarded the contract for the project ' NTBs Impact Study in the EAC Region - Development of a legally binding mechanism on the elimination of NTBs ' with the Eastern African Community ((Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania)

AESA will support the EAC Partner States in developing a legally binding enforcement mechanism on elimination of NTBs within EAC Region. In particular, the TA will analyze the level of effectiveness and efficiency of the National Monitoring Committees (NMCs), propose how the current mechanism can be strengthened, and provide recommendations on the current institutional structure for the elimination of NTBs. Expected outcome of the TA will be a proposed draft bill.
