The project is in line with the policies and actions of Morocco in the fight against poverty and social exclusion, the rehabilitation and conservation of natural ecosystems and the gradual eradication of the cultivation of cannabis. This project is presented as a multi-sectoral response to promote territorial development dynamics in Northern Morocco by fostering a participatory and integrated approach.
The overall objectives of the project are to:
(i) help reduce the socio-economic disparities between rural and urban areas;
(ii) help implement national policies for decentralisation and the promotion of integrated local development in the Northern region.
