Description of the project and Services provided:
This project seeks to improve Employment Policy Management at central and local level.
The specific purposes of this project are to:

Provide support to the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR) for effective management of the National Employment Policy priorities

Strengthen the Labour Department (LD) at national, regional and local level, including the Public Employment Centres
-
Enhance linkages and cooperation with relevant stakeholders notably in the areas of social protection, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and business and cooperative development
The results issued are:
improved implementation of the national employment policy (NEP)

Strengthened human resource management capacities of the MELR

Employment legal framework is improved
-
Systems to manage, monitor and evaluate employment programmes are improved
-
Coordination system and mainstreaming of employment policy improved
Strengthening the labour department, its regional offices and public employment centres for an effective labour administration system

Labour Administration Management of the Labour Department (LD) improved

Improved services delivery of the Labour Department at all levels
