Support to Integrated Border Management

Description of the project and Services provided:

The overall objective of the project was to support the full implementation of the National IBM ( Integrated Border Management) strategy through provision of assistance in the area of veterinary and phytosanitary control and visa regime

The services provided were
• Institutional Building support;
• Tender Dossiers preparation for the works of the construction of the BIPs;
• Drafting technical specifications for the equipment to be supplied and installed at the BiPs & the tools to implement the functioning of the State Phytosanitary Laboratory ;
• implementation plan of the works and supplies, including timescales and estimated costs;
• Training of the BIP and SPL staff
• Awareness Enhancement within the new customs and SPL systems among the private and public sector.
