“Better Training for Safer Food" (BTSF) is an initiative of the European Commission’s Health and Consumers Directorate-General (DG SANCO) aimed at organising a European Union (EU) training strategy in the areas of food law, feed law, animal health and animal welfare rules, as well as plant health rules.
The project is aimed at providing assistance for the organisation and implementation of training activities under the programme “Better Training for Safer Food" to be mainly held in EU countries.
The initiative foresees four different work packages (WPs) :
A total of 42 training courses are implemented under the whole project: 11 three-day training courses are organised under the WP 1, 10 three-day training courses under the WP 2, 11 three-day training sessions under the WP 3 and 10 three-day training sessions under the WP 4. On each training course the participation of 30-50 trainees is foreseen depending on the specific WP for a total of 1580 participants. The Project is implemented 12 different locations: Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Latvia, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Slovenia, Portugal, and UK.
